Walking in the Lake District

Scotland has been suffering from severe rain storms, and a lot of flooding, so the club took itself down over the border today to the Lake District for our walk.

We started at Patterdale, and walked along Ullswater to Hartsop, on some lovely pathways.  Our weather was fair and quite warm when walking, in fact we all had to shed jackets along the way.  Stopped for some lunch just passed Hartsop, and had a nice coffee at the inn there, before heading to Hartsop Hall and along Low wood, difficult little path here, and up the other side of the lake back to Patterdale, where we had an hour or so in the hotel, having drinks and chat.

Added a couple of photographs as extras.

Headed home happy and well satisfied with our day out.

So sorry for the people in Perthshire flooded out of their homes and without electricity.
