Homeward Bound

Back down the road today with a couple of stops. We were on the road before ten so stopped to grab brunch at Ullapool. Next stop was at Garve where we visited Sam and Sorley. We ended up going for a decent walk as we'd never really explored Garve before. As well as getting a chance to catch up with Sam the other highlight was seeing a swarm of honey bees in a bush near her mum's house.

I'd never seen a swarm that close up before, although they must just have been resting up on the search for a new hive location as Sam said they hadn't been there the day before. They clearly weren't bothered in the slightest by Sam and I getting in close with our cameras though.

Once we were back on the road we made one more stop in Aviemore for a wee bit then were back down the road for teatime. It's been a great week, but it's always good to get home, especially since Maddy didn't come with us this year.

I've also had time to catch up on the fantastic Aberdeen result from Thursday too.
