Storm Front

A monsoon storm turns day to night across the desert.  Starting in late June to early July, seasonal winds begin blowing out of the south, bringing rain from the Pacific Ocean to the desert.  But despite the ferocity of these storms, most of our seven-inch annual rain accumulation actually falls in the winter and early spring, usually sneaking across the mountains from California.
