Big sisters

Marrying Jamie gave me two best friends as well as sisters-in-law.

We crossed the bridge to Spain tonight, to our favourite restaurant in our favourite town, where we had gambas dipped in Iberian salt and garlic sauce, meltingly soft pork cheeks in beer and orange juice, and beef fillet served on sizzling hot stones which cook the steak as fast as you can carve it.

Afterwards we ate ice cream in the town square watching children playing and their parents and grandparents strolling in their Saturday night best. It was fabulous fun; busy, hot, noisy and very Spanish!

We drove back to Portugal around 11 pm and arrived home an hour earlier due to the time difference. The children jumped straight in the pool and swam under the Milky Way.
