Latitude Saturday

After the initial slow start and Fridays storming set by Caribou today the festival really got into its stride. Lots of good things Tom Robinson Band, performance art in the Faraway Forest and playing around with snakes and lizards. The Saturday was always going to be about James Blake and Portishead. James Blake was brilliant, absolutely brilliant however nothing could prepare us for Portishead, they pulled out of the bag one of the most mesmerising and unforgettable festival experiences, they were joined by Thom Yorke on stage for The Rip. I witnessed something special.

This night was made extra special by a couple of friends who had come along for the day, the post headline frivolity was stupid and at time juvenile. Exactly as a festival be.
