Mereorites

On my last day in Namibia I was determined to find the Gibeon Meteorite National Monument in the centre of Windhoek. It took us a 40 minute walk from our overnight stay to find it (we only had a half-day time slot  before going home). It is an open disply in the shopping area, displaying  33 bits- well 32 now as you can see one has been stolen -from the largest known meteorite shower ever to gave hit the earth - about 500 million years ago- scattering the pieces around a small town called Gibeon. I bet the Geology Museum In London would like one and would keep it safer than here.
