Sejong the Great

Today I walked around Yeouidio Park and some of the nearby streets.

This is a statue of King Sejong the Great. During his reign he oversaw improvements and innovations in science, technology, politics and literature, and in 1446 he introduced the hangul phonetic alphabet.

I've put a  plaque on hangul in the extras (I often find non-European scripts quite beautiful and artistic to look at), along with some other shots from the park and surrounding area...including a possibly predatory art installation!
