Rolling Waves

After three weeks in a tent we are home again.
A great odyssey around the southern half of France. La Rochelle, Sancerre, Dijon, Annecy, Verdon Gorge, Montpelier, Toulouse, Bordeaux and return to La Rochelle.
It's been a great trip. Buying wine, cycling, and camped at the side of the Loire in Sancerre. Coupe de Moto two day event in Dijon. Paragliding for a week in Annecy. Walking, cycling and White water rafting in the Verdon Gorge.
We were caught in a thunderstorm complete with violent winds last night which saw us getting soaked to the skin whilst frantically hammering in tent pegs into the sandy soil near Montpelier as the wind just as quickly ripped them out again. We managed to keep the tent from being blown down but it was a close call. Quite scary as the trees were whipped around and we were pelted by rain in true biblical fashion.
Back now and very much looking forward to a night in a real bed as opposed to the blow up matress I've had for the last three weeks.
