A cooling bathe

This morning is started off wet and miserable and then amazingly the sun came and it's stayed 'all' day and just got better!  I so want long days of this, long weeks of beautiful summer sunshine, but we're lucky just to get one day of this!

One of the adult female blackbirds, the one that follows me around begging for food, trusted me to be there as she bathed in the pond - I guess she also thought as I was standing there I was protecting her from any predator!  :) xx
