Leaking

This is one of the last two red gooseberries on my gooseberry bush. At first glance, it looked like a healthy, ripe gooseberry. However, on closer inspection it proved not to be intact. I rather suspect that some small creature may be inside eating it, as has happened to several other gooseberries that were left the last time I looked.  I also think I know why.

I saw a couple of very small, green caterpillars on the branches and suspect there may be a third filling its stomach. From the number of gooseberries that have been eaten, I hope they grow into something beautiful. Perhaps one of these?
