Living, Liking, Loving Life - mono Monday -

You know, when I think about it, life's been good to me so far (with humble apologies to Mr. Joe Walsh)

No, I don't have a mansion - technically - nor do I own a Maserati (and drive 185) mine is a Volvo XC70, She drives an S60, neither of us have lost our license, so we ain't riding in the back.

She, as you may know, is the living epitome of English class, reserve and to a great degree (if you ask me) "upper class" rigidity, stupidity, stuffiness and patently outdated "tradition"

That and She obviously lost her mind 22 years ago, poor darling, and is in need of mental healthcare: why else would She profess the level of affection showered on an undeserving slob like me?

Penance? ASBO mandated service or perhaps a version of Christian charity? Could be any of those, then again, maybe it's the latent Yorkshire gene in her makeup

The daughters seem to feel She simply refuses to admit a mistake She made lo those many years ago, and is valiantly trying to correct it. But, let it be known, whatever her reason may be, I appreciate it!

Okay then - where that came from or was headed I haven't a clue -

Moving on, as most of you know, we attended the annual "Blues and Brew" festival over the weekend, where our good friend Chris Cain was the headliner and "rocked the house" (park really) a good time was had by all

And for some of us (moi included) perhaps way too much of a - liquid - good time was in fact consumed (Mr. Jack Daniels and his good buddy Mr. Jim Beam and their pet Wild Turkey made an appearance) resulting in a return to the "lazy, hazy, crazy days" of summers past

Speaking of 'summer' today is mono Monday and the theme is "summer" and if the remaining three weeks are like the last week, the return to England will be spent in splendid isolation (and man wouldn't that be a disaster)

Anybody have any alka-seltzer?
