Just a wallflower

The perennial wallflower is a big hit with the butterflies.

This one is a frequent visitor, our pet tortoiseshell which can't get enough of Bowles Mauve!

I demanded Roo plant a butterfly bush when we moved in last year. She planted Buddleja davidii 'Black knight' and so far they are stridently ignoring it, lovely as it looks.

Apparently, Buddleja is a bad plant! An invasive non-native that crowds out other host plants which butterflies and birds depend on for food throughout the year!!

My Bad!!!

I won't dig it up, I will just not plant anymore and make it my avowed intent to plant and nurture other food plants.

OK?
