Monomonday: Summer

The garden is central to my summertime, so it gets to star in today's mono challenge. Over the years I've learned what to grow, what we like to consume, how much do I need to plant to have enough and then some to give away. Everything has to be protected inside a fence from the deer, so it is very crowded.
Some of my favorites: Sungold cherry tomato, yellow beets, long cucumbers (Burpless and Marketmore), French fingerling potatoes. There are green beans, kale, lettuce mix, onions, summer squash, strawberries and blueberries and herbs and garlic. Oh and sunflowers and zinnias and nasturtiums, which seed themselves for the following year.
