Farms

Since my bike went to Barra, it has wanted to go out on longer rides, so I took it to Beeswing this morning. (Trivia fact : this is a village in Dumfries and Galloway which has the distinction of being named after a racehorse). I chose Beeswing because it is home to the famous Loch Arthur Community , which has a fabulous farm shop and cafe (and long bike rides should always involve refreshment).
The bike enjoyed cycling 13 miles there and 13 back, especially the 13 back because they seemed to be mostly downhill (but maybe that was due to the refreshment).
The route was mostly on quiet roads, passing by farms with dairy cattle and fields of grass silage and barley. I like these old signs and this was a nice example.
