Community art project

Weaver Sue Horne is running a very popular community arts project with the Font of Art group in St Saviors church, Bridge-of-Allan.

She asks people to bring in a piece of material that has some significance for them then she shows them how to weave this into a giant public wall hanging.

Today one of her first visitors was Annette Andrews, a 20 year old student at Stirling University. Her family moved from Kerala in southern India when she was 11 years of age to Ireland.
And now Annette has come to Scotland.
Sue then invites people to write something about the object in a special book. Many have chosen to write poems. Some are very powerful emotional statements.

This is one of a number of inter-active community projects undertaken by individual artists taking part in Forth Valley Open Studios.
