...Or when Mother Nature needs symmetry.

Tonight I saw two new puzzling thingies. A hummingbird foraging by the river at Durtal (is it possible to see hummingbirds in France?) and an insect that I've never seen before (see extra though the pic isn't very good). Does anyone have a clue to these two questions?
