Classic Yachts Impression

This week sees the Classic Yacht Regatta when beautiful old design yachts of all sizes and classes meet for a series of races.

Conditions today were not good for the hardy spectators with drifting mist and drizzle obscuring the action from the shore. However the worse the weather the better I like it so it was a good time to experiment with some impressionistic blur and intentional camera movement to give a painterly look to the images.

Back home after sifting out the real rubbish I found there were quite a few left to play with. The possibilities are endless so will need more time to work out the best treatments to use to produce some canvas mounted prints. Probably a job for the Winter. These first attempts may not reproduce well on Blip but they are fun to do.
Definitely need to be seen in Large
