Stirling castle

I don't know what's happened to summer but it has passed us by in Scotland. But at least the countryside is looking lush, not surprising after all the rain we have had.

For visitors to Scotland this view of Stirling castle from the motorway is their first sight of the "gateway to the Highlands".
