Roger's Square

Wandering round the side streets of Harrogate (as one does...) one might come across this pretty square of 12 Almshouses. They were built as a gift to Harrogate people in 1868 by George Rogers, a wealthy textile manufacturer and philanthropist from Bradford. They are available to persons from Harrogate or Bradford who are over 60 years old. (Still a few years for me to wait then....)
It is nice to see that they are so well cared for.
