Fresh almond

I was lucky to find a really twisty one.

Freshly shelled the skins are a lovely pale green, becoming darker as they oxidise. The flesh has a lovely creamy taste, much nicer than the nuts you buy in bags.

Straight off the tree they look a bit like a hard green peach
