Female blackbird

The females of the red winged blackbird are so different from the male that you think you are looking at an entirely different species. I think, however, that this is right. I am sure someone will soon correct me if I am wrong.
We are being inundated with Japanese beetles on the roses, a somewhat unwelcome visitor. I will post them in the extras. They are not unattractive but they sure know how to do damage!
