Diamond Jubilee

Backblipped for 5th June

I regretted being away for the beginning of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations. I tried very hard to obtain first-day covers or just a set of stamps to post on the day, but the schedule simply didn't offer a suitable opportunity.

However I was able to watch the service at St Paul's and subsequent arrival of Her Majesty at the Mansion House and then took a few snaps of the TV screen with my Union Flag mug which happened to be in use at the time.

I think she is a remarkable lady who has governed the Commonwealth with great wisdom and ability. Long may she reign.
