Old town Altea

Decided to visit old town, Altea this evening - big mistake! As it is now officially the school holidays etc. the tiny streets were awash with all sorts of holiday makers and reminiscent of the famous bible story "there was no room in any restaurant". Trudging through the streets at about 9pm I was inspired by another wonderful sunset and just below, eldest daughter remember this little place she had been to once before - it's the tiniest little restaurant I've been in but it was fabulous - we managed to get a table for 5 in a few minutes and we sat inside, upstairs by the little window on the left. The view from our little window was of the old church - just perfect. And as it's a little way off the beaten track the invading hordes of tourists have not found it yet. It's called Cxef Pirata (the x is pronounced "sh") - the Pirate Chef! Highly recommended - lovely atmosphere, lovely food - what more could you want...
