Terrain Warrior

Once upon a time there weren't any "SUVs". There were only serious four wheel drive off-road vehicles (usually designed for farm country) and genuinely rugged terrain. Now we have all of these pristinely polished, leather upholstered, gimmick laden, monitor screen equipped, yuppy branded moving monoliths - designed to guzzle petrol and prevent me from seeing anything past their great hunks of metallic painted steel. "Panzer divisions" of such machines turn up at schools of a morning and afternoon, blocking the road and causing all sorts of unnecessary congestion and disorder. Don't mind me. I have been auditioning for "Grumpy Old Men" for years now. (sigh)

Aaaanyway it is good to see a genuine off road vehicle that actually appears to have gone off-road. This grizzly, experienced old timer spare wheel (one of two) shows chipped paint, scuffed walls, missing wheel nuts, rust and a genuine "I'm up for it" attitood. Most re-assuring.
