I See A Darkness

Artist:Ben Javens
'When Ben thinks of owls, his first thought is the night, mainly due to their nocturnal nature, but also because they embody the sort of deep quiet that only really happens at night, in the darkness. In Ben's stylised design, I See A Darkness, a couple are asleep - outside and under a twinkling night sky, while the eye of the owl wittily forms a full moon.'
This is part of The Big Hoot - a 'citywide art trail in Birmingham that celebrates the creative work of artists, communities, children and young people. Uniquely decorated owls are located throughout Birmingham for 10 weeks over the summer, after which they will be auctioned off, raising funds for Birmingham's Children's Hospital.'
