Citius, Altius, Fortius

That's Latin for 'Swifter, Higher, Stronger', which is the Olympic motto.

I headed up to the castle tonight to see the Olympic torch go by. The whole street was packed with people and you could barely see anything at all. There was a great atmosphere though, so I got some free coke and soaked it all in before heading over to Lauriston place to meet Hannah and friends.

It seems that barely anyone knew the torch was coming through Lauriston place. There wasn't many people at all and we got a fantastic view. The torch bearer waved right at us too! I've got to admit, I did get a bit over excited about it too. There were Jazz Hands and everything!

Afterwards we went back to the castle in time to see the top of the flame disappearing into the ticketed area of the castle. We were quite pleased that we'd got such a brilliant view 5 minutes earlier as it was jammed full of people and you couldn't really see.
