Windypost Cross

We moved down to Dartmoor for the weekend yesterday and drove through heavy rain  and arrived at our little base here to find  a little bat hanging upside down on the lounge curtains. He was very dozy and was easily moved to a dark corner of the wood shed !

Today (Saturday) was lovely and we got in several walks and an ice cream ending the day over  at the Windy Post, one of the monastic crosses that mark routes used across thr moor between the old abbeys. The water here is the Grimstone and Sortridge Leat
