English Countryside

We flew into Heathrow on a wonderful morning. This is a view west of the airport, about 5 minutes before we touched down (the map location is a guess). The main building has the air (no pun intended) of a castle--does anyone recognize it? And at the top is an estate (with farm buildings?) complete with swimming pool and tennis court.

We're told there's been a lot of rain this spring--you can see it in the lush landscape. More rain is due starting tomorrow, but we're off to Trondheim for a few days of birding in Norway.

To my pleasure (though inadvertently) we timed our trip for Euro 2012 (the European soccer championships); I posted this at halftime of the Germany-Netherlands match.
