Corpse

Some of my mesembryanthemum flowers are now past the scruffy stage and have progressed to the 'corpse' stage.  There is sometimes a rebirth when the remains of a flower makes the transformation to a fruit.  But in this case I fear the flowers were not fertilised, and are due to depart this earth in a short time.

It has been another mild winter's day, and I have been outside most of the afternoon.  We now have (more or less) neatly trimmed paths, which always makes to garden look better cared for.
