Enzo the Baker

By Enzo

Forty years on.

In July 1975 I was at, or rehearsing for, the Edinburgh Fringe.

My dear parents  were in Paris for mum's birthday. Her diary/sketchbook is filled with optimistic notes and sketches. She delighted in  the market: "peaches, mushrooms, huge peppers"; and in the Louvre, "Poussins, Clauds, Fragonard .... Davids - huge."

Earlier, in Greece with the friend from her youth, my godmother, a sketch of Mount Parnassus is captioned "Bus held up for 5 mins". An opportunity, not a problem.

She would have been 103 today. Happy birthday.
