TinyTuesday - Wasp

Managed to get this shot of the Median Wasp between rain showers  today.  Tried using the flash this time (on reduced power) which I had always thought would scare them off immediately - apparently not.

Never realised how many varieties of wasp there are in the UK.  Even with our new insects book it was hard to identify which species this was.  Its all down to the markings apparently.
