Busy bees

I took a day off to day to hang out with my mum, who is on leave this week. Given the weather, she just came to mine for lunch (jacket spuds with prawns in marie rose sauce with salad). We drank lots of coffee and chatted for a few hours. After mum left, I went for a walk and managed to catch a bit of sun between the rain.Saw these thistle-like plants by the river, with the bees working away, oblivious to my camera.
