Another Place

Take a trip to see the Another Place sculptures that stretch almost one kilometre out to sea on Crosby beach.

Another Place is a series of 100 cast-iron life-size figures by Antony Gormley based on his own body standing on the beach looking out to sea. According to the sculptor, the sculptures harness the ebb and flow of the tide to explore man’s relationship with nature.
Previously sited at Cuxhaven in Germany, Stavanger in Norway and De Panne in Belgium, Another Place is now a permanent fixture in Liverpool. The sculptures need to be seen to be believed and are an experience not to be missed whilst in Merseyside. However, visitors must be careful not to attempt to walk out to the sculptures furthest away from the shore.
