Dick's Pics

Two's company

Three's a crowd, and four? Well let's just say there was a bit of male bonding going on among the Chalkhill blues this evening on Denbies Hillside near Dorking. It's a good time for these butterflies at this spot. We found an Adonis Blue (correction: no we didn't, my butterfly advisory panel have tell me it was a common blue, the Adonis isn't out yet) but the silver spotted skippers eluded us. I know they're here somewhere.

Incidentally, if you want to find the chalkhill blue you can't miss them, they're everywhere on the hill which also has marvellous views to the south.
