Smokin' Pair Of Shoes

Louise had worn her shoes out, so the smithy(?) was called (Jacob....as it turns out). I think this is one of those things I've always wanted to see and it was every bit as impressive as I had imagined. Jacob has been doing this for 25 years and it shows. The speed, strength and precision he demonstrated was just plain awesome. Quite a slideshow if you look at the extras.

This was taken with an ancient Minolta 18-70 kit lens and my HK knock-off Speedlight with a Flashbender. The lighting worked well enough. With a real 16-35 prime zoom this could have been so much better.......sharp, for a start.
