Seat with a View

I am amazed at the size of logs that get washed up on the seashore and what a potential danger they must have been to small boats.  This log was a suitable seat to watch the seabirds on a little offshore island with the Pentland Hills and Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh forming the backdrop. In a couple of months the view will be different when the distant chimneys of Cockenzie Power Station are demolished and so removing a notable landmark from the shores of the Forth.  Just before then we had been watched by four seals but I was surprised that one of them was in two colours and wonder if it was moulting.  Perhaps someone can tell me.
