Peckover House Wisbech

I went on a garden trip today to visit the gardens at Elgoods Brewery and also the gardens at Peckover House. Peckover House was owned by the Peckover family whose wealth came from banking. They were Quaker bankers, collectors and philanthropists who owned the house for over 150 years. A very interesting house and beautiful gardens. Some family members were plant collectors and brought exotic seeds from abroad. A little taste of the gardens is in my additional photo.
