Häme castle

Emma's team had a rehearsal match against Helmi Basket in Helsinki today. We drove to Helsinki a bit earlier and had a lunch in the Carusel and walked around with Sami. The match started at 18:00 and Pyrintö won Helmi Basket's girls 104 - 35.

On the way home we had a break in Hämeenlinna and had a walk with Sami. We searched one geocache - I took this picture from the magnificant cache location.

Häme Castle is one of Finland's medieval royal castles. It is believed to have been built at the end of the 13th century, following the crusade by Swedish Earl Birger to Häme region. The Häme Castle and its redbrick barracks are on the shore of Lake Vanajavesi, in the city of Hämeenlinna.
