Red Top Mountain, GA

First day on the road on our way to Michigan. Procured a campsite in Red Top Mountain State Park. Very few campers here on a Wednesday but the ranger told us that come the weekend the place will be packed! Atlanta is less than an hour south of here, so that came as no surprise! This very large park sits on the shores of Allatoona Lake, a huge reservoir/watershed for Atlanta and surrounding communities. Red Top Mountain was famous for it's iron ore mines.
This is our little 'cabin in the woods' ...WeeNeeda. She is a 16ft Casita and trailers very nicely behind my Toyoto Highlander.
