Second Time's the Charm

The first time I ran 5k was four days ago, on Saturday, 6/8/2012. I ran 1.5 miles before needing to take a walking break...then my lungs started seizing up and I walked for the rest of the time...with only occasional spurts of jogging.

Today, I ran the whole 5k+ (3.3 miles) in 45 minutes. No breaks, no walking, just pure running.

I never thought I could do this, and never thought I could do it so soon. If I stuck with following Couch to 5k, I am then only on Week 5 Day 1 of the program, which has you going 1.5k total.

It's amazing what you can accomplish when you don't let yourself chicken out.

I'm so proud of myself.
