Kapa haka group.

A big part of what makes New Zealand different to other countries is the influence the native Maori people have on our society. There were ferocious wars fought against them before the Treaty of Waitangi was signed ,which really protects their rights. Now our racial integration is very successful. Most of us kiwis are very familiar with their music and of course the haka which is performed as a challenge before many sporting contests. In the main street yesterday the kapa  haka cultural group form the local school were performing action songs and hakas. I was very impressed by this young lad who led the haka... I think he is destined to be  a future captain of our All Black rugby team
