The remains

of the old Oak tree, we had cut it down now we are not in the habit of cutting down trees, tend to plant  them  but this tree was going to get way to big where it was, self seeded I should think as there are loads of seedling around it, I noticed this markings in the centre of the stump. looks like a tree on a hill well that's how I see it.
