Pasta Pedaller!

We are so fortunate to have available here not only fresh local vegetables, meats, poultry, fish, fruits, beer, wine, dairy products, bread, honey and more, but also pasta!

Bellingham Pasta Company, started in 2008 by Katie Hinton and Anna Rankin (seen here), provides a wide range of marvelous fresh pasta "to area grocery stores, restaurants, caterers, delis, and of course our famous Bellingham Farmers Market," as their website notes. Anna delivers 150 to 200 pounds (68 to 90.7 kilos) of that fresh pasta to local stores and restaurants by bicycle each week, covering about 22 miles/35 kilometers.

The "Follow me to... The Table" sticker on the fresh pasta delivery container above refers to Bellingham Pasta Company's excellent restaurant, The Table. It features a 22-seat community table, as well as smaller ones, and a diverse range of fresh pasta dishes - including gluten-free options -- and other delights. The Table's emphasis on local food makes for an appealing menu that reflects each season's bounty.
