On The Subject Of Handwriting...

Two days ago I posted a macro of my dad's fountain pen nib.  Thinking about it more, I remembered a birthday greeting he wrote - very likely with that pen - on the end paper of a book he gave my mom in 1965.  The book, (the cover of which I included as an Extra View), is a wonderful and comprehensive history of Sea Point, the suburb of Cape Town where my parents had their home for nearly forty years.  The Title, "Under Lion's Head", takes it name from the curiously-shaped mountain, strongly resembling the head of a lion at rest, which dominates the skyline.
