Summer lunch

It was one of those lunches where everybody brings a dish. We dined on a splendid variety of salads, meats, quiches, rice and couscous, followed by a yummy selection of desserts. It is surprising that with this system there are hardly ever any duplicates. It was a lovely summery day although not very warm. There was a raffle and I won a lovely Indian scarf in an intense blue.
The occasion was the summer lunch of the local quilters. I joined this group because I wanted to hear their excellent speakers - I'm not really a quilter.
