A concrete love affair

Southwell Minster

Had a really nice visit to Southwell Minster in Nottinghamshire this afternoon. While Pam was on photo-shoot, I had look inside the Minster. I was fortunate to get chatting one of the staff, George, who grew up in Leicester and recalled to me what the city looked like back in the 1940’s.

EXTRA PHOTO's

The sign on the Minster garden's very own Labyrinth. Beautiful words.

And on the way home, crossing the river Trent, the superb concrete and stonework spans of the 1932 Gunthorpe Bridge.
