I was meant to be in Luss by Loch Lomond on Saturday to welcome the Olympic flame, but I had to be on Mull.

I was meant to be in Galashiels this morning to welcome the Olympic flame but had ask my colleague Alasdair Allan to do it as I had an another engagement I had to fulfil at the General Teaching Council.

So I thought I wouldn't see it - until I discovered at 7.20 this morning that it was due to go straight past my Edinburgh flat at 7.30 !

Plus there was a changeover right on the corner of Holyrood Rd, between the Scotsman building and Dynamic Earth - in plain sight of my living room window.
