I've had to come home and check my 'Field Guide to Australian Birds' by Michael Morcombe to know what bird this was. Never mind, at least I've got the book on my bookshelves! This is a back-blip from a few days ago when we went out with our daughter and youngest, super cute grand-daughter, driving around the countryside outside Canberra looking for blipping possibilities. We found this waterway which seemed to tick all the boxes (if only I could do it some measure of justice).
