Little red flower

I thought it was time I blipped something other than little creatures today, so here is a little flower instead.  It is my favourite plant in our garden although I have no idea what it is.  It produces a profusion of these small flowers (about the size of a 10p piece) on long stalks.

Just because I haven't blipped a little creature today doesn't mean I didn't take any.  I have included an extra shot of a harlequin ladybird.  I have often wondered what a ladybird actually looks like under all that armour - now I know.  Isn't macro photography amazing (I'm a bit obsessed with it at the moment).
