Blokfluit (recorder?)

It seems to me a little strange to as translation for a "blokfluit"(Dutch) to use the word recorder. But apparently that is so! Or someone has a better more common name for this instrument.

This is a rather nostalgic picture.
Here are several periods in a picture put.
The Book of Psalms or hymns collection is from 1935 and contains 200 songs of the Restored Apostolic zendig municipality in the unity of the Apostles in the Netherlands and the Colonies.

The recorder is from around 1965 and belongs to my wife. She played it as a child. A real "Adler"; reputedly one of the better ones. Also, a cleaning brush from those years.

The book "The Dutch National Anthem" is a silver jubilee of 1967. Expenses The sixteenth edition of this book.
Through the centuries, the Dutch national anthem life reflected our people in all its manifestations. Narrative, historical and spiritual songs connected contemporaries and posterity in experiencing and remembering highlights of our national existence. Equally they formed in difficult times a source of inspiration and strength for all our people. Many will remember that in the years 1940-1945. It is no coincidence that the first edition of this book came about at that time.
This is a collection of 287 Dutch folk songs.
